Strong Bike Leg Fuels a Solid Return to Spudman Josh Miller closed out his third Spudman Olympic appearance in 3:04:01, finishing 480th out of 1,987 men and 74th in the competitive 30-34 age group. His swim was efficient and put him in solid position early, but it was the bike leg where he truly shined averaging roughly 16.4 mph over nearly 24.4 miles, a leg that moved him up significantly in the field and showed strong sustained power on two wheels. The run proved to be the tougher half of his day, with his pace settling into the 10-minute-per-mile range as the miles accumulated. Compared to his 2025 Spudman, where he posted a faster overall time of 2:43:52, this year's result reflects a bit more strain in the back half. Still, it marks an improvement over his 2024 finish, and the bike split stands out as a genuine highlight worth building on for next season.
