Date: July 25, 2026 Participant: Jason Myers #6192 Race: 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon Event: Olympic Triathlon Weather: Hot, but otherwise a great day for a triathlon.

Strong Bike Leg Highlights a Determined Olympic Finish Jason Myers completed the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in Burley, Idaho, finishing 860th overall out of 1,987 participants and 9th in the U40 Clydesdale division. His standout segment was the bike leg, where he averaged roughly 17.2 mph over the course, moving him up significantly in the overall standings during that portion of the race. Compared to his 2023 Spudman performance, where he finished in 2:54:25, Jason's 2026 time of 3:19:14 reflects a slower overall pace this year. His swim and run splits suggest opportunities to build more consistency across all three disciplines, particularly in transitions and run pacing, to bring his overall time closer to his previous personal best. With a strong bike foundation already in place, focused training on swim efficiency and run endurance could help Jason close the gap in future races.
