Consistent Effort, Room to Reclaim Past Pace Dustin completed the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 2:46:44, finishing 261st overall out of 1,987 and 36th in the mens 35-39 division. His swim was efficient, and his bike leg stood out as the highlight of the raceaveraging roughly 17.6 mph over the 23-mile course, a strong showing of sustained power and control. Transitions were quick and efficient, showing good race-day organization. Compared to his four previous Spudman finisheseach between 2:19 and 2:33this years result marks his slowest outing at this race. The run split, in particular, trailed his past performances, suggesting fatigue may have set in after a strong bike effort. Moving forward, incorporating brick workouts that simulate race-day fatigue could help him carry more of that bike strength into the run and get back toward his 2024 form, when he finished in 2:19:52.
