Strong Early Push Couldn't Outlast a Tough Back Half Aaron opened his Olympic-distance day with a swim leg completed in just under 23 minutes, then turned in an excellent early bike stretchrolling near 12 mph pace out of T1 before conditions and fatigue pulled his average down to roughly 9.2 mph for the full 24-mile ride. That early speed shows real power on fresh legs, and dialing in a more even effort across the entire bike could help him bank more energy for the run. The run proved to be the tougher half of the day, settling into a pace in the high-teens per mile before slipping to over 25 minutes per mile in the closing miles. This late fade suggests his effort was heavily front-loaded on the bikeincorporating some brick-style run training after hard bike efforts could help him hold pace deeper into the run next time out.
