Consistent Bike Power Anchors a Balanced Olympic Effort Scott Smith turned in a well-rounded performance at the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon, moving efficiently through each discipline. After a steady swim, he settled into a strong bike leg, averaging roughly 15.3 mph over the course. One standout stretch saw him hit nearly 17.6 mph, showing a good ability to push power when the terrain allowed. Off the bike, Smith maintained a steady run effort, averaging around an 11:30 per mile pace through the Olympic distance run. He found another gear late, closing out with a strong final sprint that spiked to over 12 mph in the last tenth of a mile. Quick work in both transitions helped keep his overall race flow tight, rounding out a solid, well-executed day at Spudman.
