Powerful Bike Leg Fuels Strong Olympic-Distance Finish Madison completed the Olympic-distance course in 3:08:03, anchored by a standout bike segment. Covering the roughly 24.4-mile bike course in 1:30:37, she averaged approximately 16.15 mph, with a notably strong middle stretch between miles 6.4 and 14.4 where she covered nearly 8 miles in just over 31 minutes. Her 21:46 swim was efficient and set her up well for the ride, while both transitions were crisp, combining for under 8 minutes total. The run proved to be the area with the most room to grow, with her pace gradually settling into the 10:30-11:30 min/mile range over the final miles. Given the strength she showed on the bike, incorporating more brick workouts could help her carry that momentum into the run leg for future races. Overall, a well-rounded performance with a clear power segment on the bike to build from.
