Bike Strength Anchors a Determined Finish Kimberlee closed out this year's Olympic-distance race in 2:53:39, finishing 9th in her 40-44 division and 60th among female finishers. Her bike leg was the standout segment, climbing as high as 2nd in her division during a stretch of the course, showing real strength on two wheels. She maintained a strong pace of nearly 17 mph across the bike course, a clear highlight of her day. Her swim (23:30) and transitions were solid, but the run leg saw her gradually slip from a top-10 position to settle at 9th by the finish. Compared to her previous three Olympic-distance finishes here (2:392:42), this year's time was a bit slower, suggesting an opportunity to sharpen run pacing off the bike to match the strength she's shown on the course in past seasons.
