Steady Pacing Fuels a Strong Olympic-Distance Finish Jon Bradshaw completed the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 3:01:44, finishing 72nd in the competitive 35-39 age group. His swim covered 0.86 miles in 27:03, transitioning quickly into a bike leg that showcased his strength on two wheels24.39 miles in 1:21:56, averaging just under 17.9 mph. A standout stretch came during the B6 segment, where he covered 10.2 miles in 30:20, averaging roughly 20.3 mph, a clear high point of his ride. Coming off the bike, Jon moved through T2 in under three minutes before tackling the 6.21-mile run in 1:04:17, holding a pace near 10:21 per mile. His run showed some fluctuation, with early miles closer to 8:48 and later miles settling past 11:00, suggesting room to build endurance pacing for the back half of future run legs.
