A Powerful Bike Leg Fuels a Career-Best Finish Lisa Moody turned in a strong all-around performance, finishing 2nd in her 35-39 division and 7th among all women. Her bike leg stood out as a highlight, averaging roughly 19 mph over the course, with several segments dipping into the high 18-19 mph range a clear sign of well-rounded strength on two wheels. She backed that up with a steady run, holding paces between 7:43 and 8:53 per mile as fatigue naturally set in over the final miles. Compared to her 2025 Spudman result, Lisa posted a nearly identical elapsed time (2:33:12 vs. 2:32:37) but climbed significantly in the standings from 240th overall to 90th, and from 7th to 2nd in her age group. This suggests she's racing smarter and more efficiently, even if overall time gains were marginal. Continuing to build bike power while sharpening swim pacing could help her close the gap even further next season.
