Strong Swim Speed and a Mid-Bike Surge Power a Solid Olympic Finish Kyle came out of the water in 19:43, good for 135th overall and a top-12 spot in his 25-29 age group, then moved through a brisk 4:02 first transition. On the bike, he covered the 24.4-mile course in 1:21:07, averaging roughly 18 mph. His strongest stretch came around the mile-14 mark, where he briefly climbed to 55th overall and 4th in his division, showing real strength on the rolling middle miles before settling back into the pack by the bikes end. A quick 2:52 second transition kept things moving, but the run leg was tougher sledding, with pace settling near 12:26 per mile over the closing 6.2 miles. Kyle finished in 3:04:59, placing 606th overall and 44th among competitive men aged 25-29 in a field of nearly 2,000 finishers a race defined by a swim-bike one-two punch and a run leg with room to sharpen for next time.
