Steady Gains Across Every Leg Fuel a Season-Best Finish Trista Cook closed out her 2026 sprint triathlon in 2:07:59, a five-minute improvement over her 2025 result of 2:12:59. That gain moved her up from 340th to 301st overall, from 175th to 150th among women, and from 19th to 10th in her 50-59 division a meaningful jump across the board. Her swim was a definite strength, clocking 21:38 and ranking her 10th in her division for that leg alone, a position she held onto for the overall race. On the bike, she averaged right around 12 mph over the course, and her run showed solid closing strength, finishing the final stretch with a 4:41 pace. Transitions remain an area to sharpen, as T1 and T2 combined took over 13 minutes trimming time there could translate directly into a faster overall finish next time out.
