Big Time Drop Highlights a Strong Sprint Finish Jessica Cook completed the 2026 Spudman Sprint Triathlon in 1:58:57, a notable improvement of nearly 14 minutes over her 2025 finish of 2:12:33. She moved up 99 spots overall and 57 spots in her gender division year-over-year, finishing 238th overall and 116th among women this time out. Her bike leg was a clear strength, averaging roughly 14 mph over the course and helping push her into the top half of her age group at multiple points during the ride. The run was steady, closing with a strong final surge in the last quarter mile. One area to watch for future races is transition efficiencyher T1 time of 6:19 was longer than her T2 split of 3:04, suggesting there may be a few seconds to gain by streamlining that swim-to-bike changeover.
