Swim Speed Fuels a Steady Sprint Performance Lauren Cook opened her 2026 Spudman Sprint Triathlon with a standout swim, clocking 17:44 and landing 9th among 20-29 females a clear strength to build on. She carried solid momentum onto the bike, averaging roughly 13 mph over the 12.45-mile course, a pace that kept her comfortably mid-pack overall. The run proved steady, holding close to 8:00-8:15 per mile through the final miles and finishing with a strong closing kick. Cook wrapped up in 1:52:35, placing 76th among 570 women and 21st in her division. Coming off last years Olympic-distance finish in Burley, this sprint outing showcased quicker transitions and a more consistent pacing strategy a good building block heading into future races.
