Steady Bike Leg Anchors a Determined Finish Jeff North completed the Spudman Sprint Triathlon in Burley, Idaho, finishing 415th overall out of 570 and 18th in the mens 50-59 division. His swim and transition results were solid, but the bike leg stood out as his strongest segment, holding an average pace of roughly 11.6 mph over the 11.3-mile course a clip that moved him up several placements compared to his swim exit position. The run proved to be the more challenging portion of Jeffs race, with his pace settling into the high-teens per mile as fatigue set in over the final miles. Sustaining more consistent effort off the bike could help close the gap between his cycling strength and running output in future races. Overall, Jeffs day reflects a well-rounded effort with clear potential to build pacing consistency across all three disciplines.
