Strong Bike Split Powers Solid Sprint Finish Miranda Thomas completed the 2026 Spudman Sprint Triathlon in Orem, UT in 2:01:19, finishing 256th overall out of 570 athletes and 124th among female competitors. Her standout segment was the bike leg, where she averaged roughly 21.3 mph over the course, moving up significantly in the standings during that portion of the race. She showed particularly strong pacing in the middle miles of the bike, hitting split paces as fast as 3:37 and 4:05 per mile equivalent effort. The swim and run rounded out a balanced performance, with the run leg holding steady around a 9:15-9:30 per mile pace over the final miles. Transitions were efficient in T2 at just over 3 minutes, though T1 ran longer at 9:14, an area where she could look to gain a bit of time in future races. Overall, Miranda's bike strength was the highlight of a well-executed race.
