A Steady Multisport Effort With a Slower Bike Leg Than Last Year Jake Westbrook completed the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 2:47:59, finishing 277th overall and 31st in the men's 30-34 division. He exited the water in 22:12, moved through T1 in 6:32, and covered the bike course at an average of about 18.3 mph, completing the 24.4-mile ride in 1:19:59. His run split was 55:52, capping the day with a smooth T2 transition of 3:25. Compared to his 2025 Spudman finish of 2:24:36, this year's time was about 23 minutes slower, with the bike segment accounting for much of that gap. His swim and transition times remained consistent with prior performance, suggesting a strong aerobic base. Focusing on bike-specific power work could help him close the gap on his previous pace and build toward a stronger overall time next season.
