Consistent Pacing Fuels a Strong Olympic-Distance Finish Emily Abe closed out the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 2:48:15, placing 45th among women and 284th overall out of 1,987 finishers. Her swim was efficient, and she moved through T1 quickly before settling into a strong rhythm on the bike, averaging roughly 16.9 mph over the course. That bike segment proved to be a highlight, with several strong splits in the middle miles showing solid power and consistency. Compared to her Spudman history, this result continues a pattern of steady performances, improving on both her 2022 (2:59:09) and 2024 (3:02:09) finishes, though just off her personal best of 2:44:02 set in 2023. Her run pace stayed remarkably even from start to finish, a good sign of pacing discipline. With her bike split trending stronger, tightening the run pace slightly could help her challenge that 2023 mark next time out.
