A Season-Best Performance Fueled by a Powerful Bike Leg Hodaka Abe turned in his fastest Spudman finish to date, crossing the line in 2:30:05 nearly 10 minutes quicker than his previous best in 2023. The standout segment was the bike leg, where he averaged roughly 21.4 mph, propelling him from 217th place after T1 up to 65th by the end of the ride. That surge carried into the run, where he held 44th place through the first mile off the bike. Compared to his three prior Spudman appearances, this was a clear step forward across the board his overall placement (68th) and gender placement (66th) were both his best yet. The run did see him slip slightly in the closing miles, dropping from 36th to 68th overall, suggesting a strong finish could be the next focus. Overall, a strong showing built on a well-executed bike leg.
