Swim Speed Sets Up a Bike That Kept Getting Faster Brooklyn Huish came out of the Snake River in 21:17, good for the top spot in her 1-19 Solo Female division and 62nd among all female swimmers. She carried that momentum into the bike, holding the division lead through the first two ride segments before the course opened up. From there, her pace climbed steadily bottoming out near 12 mph on early rolling miles before surging to nearly 17-18 mph over the final stretches, a strong negative-split effort that pushed her back into contention. On the run, Brooklyn settled into a 10:30-11:20 per mile rhythm before a tougher middle section slowed her to 12:33. She responded with a strong close, dropping to 9:57 per mile late before crossing the line in 3:16:51, finishing 5th in her division and 168th among 987 female finishers.
