Division Champion Delivers a Breakthrough Performance Seth Payne capped off his 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon with a commanding win in the 25-29 age group, finishing 26th overall out of 1,987 athletes. This result marks a significant improvement over his previous two appearances at this race, shaving roughly eight minutes off his 2023 finish and improving his overall placement from 120th to 26th. Payne's bike leg was a standout, averaging approximately 20.3 mph and moving him up into the top 40 overall by the time he hit T2. He backed that up with a strong, consistent run, closing the final mile at a brisk 6:27 pace and maintaining his position among the day's top performers all the way to the finish line. With three podium-caliber Spudman performances now on his resume, Payne continues to trend in the right direction year over year.
