Strong Swim Leads, Run Splits Signal Next Focus Colby Rush turned in a swim split of 16:42, good enough for 64th overall out of 570 athletes and a top-40 finish among men a clear highlight of the day. That pace carried into a smooth T1, and Rush kept solid position through the bike leg, covering the course at just over 12 mph and holding a top-50 overall spot through the midpoint of the ride before settling into the field for a 1:01:58 split. The run proved to be the toughest leg, with a 41:57 split that saw Rush move from 128th to 149th among men by the finish. Compared to his 2025 Spudman result a 1:55:02 finish with a stronger closing pace this year's overall time of 2:07:09 reflects a run that slowed more than in the previous outing. With the swim and bike both showing solid form, sharpening run fitness looks like the clearest path to closing that gap next time out.
