Steady Pacing Anchors a Strong Olympic Finish Ledger Hill completed the Olympic-distance course in 3:00:59, finishing 45th among Elite Men and 420th overall in the men's field of nearly 2,000 athletes. His bike leg was covered at roughly 16.8 mph, a solid effort that included a standout mid-ride surge where he climbed into the top 15 of his division before settling into a more moderate rhythm. On the run, he held close to a 10:36/mile pace for most of the 10K, showing good endurance management over the closing miles. The most encouraging sign was his finishing kick dropping to an 8:45 pace in the final stretch, a strong closing push after over three hours of racing. For future races, working on maintaining that early-bike intensity through the middle miles could help smooth out the fluctuations seen in his lap-by-lap positioning, turning that late surge into a more consistent effort throughout.
