Steady Bike Power Fuels a Solid Olympic Finish Brandon Healey completed the Olympic Triathlon in 3:35:03, finishing 1075th overall and 804th among men, with a 12th-place showing in the U40 Clydesdale division. His swim came in at 26:22, followed by a brisk 4:52 T1. On the bike, Brandon showed strong pacing control, holding a mid-race split of 3:32 per mile (roughly 17 mph) between miles 6.4 and 22.9, before settling into an overall bike average near 15.4 mph across the 24-mile ridea strong, consistent effort for the discipline. After a quick 3:11 T2, Brandon opened the run with a solid 12:15 first mile, but pace gradually slowed through the back half, dropping to around 14:21 per mile by mile 30 and finishing in 1:25:37 for the run leg. This late-race fade suggests an opportunity to build more run endurance following the bike leg, helping him carry his early run speed further into the back stretch for an even stronger finish next time.
