Swim Speed Fuels a Strong Start, Transitions Offer Room to Sharpen Cory Saunders opened his race with a standout swim, clocking 20:09 and moving into 10th place in his division exiting the water a clear strength to build on. He carried that momentum onto the bike, averaging close to 13 mph over the course, holding a steady pace mile after mile and maintaining a top-15 divisional position through most of the ride. Where Cory lost some ground was in the transitions, with T1 at 9:51 and T2 at 7:32 both areas that, if tightened up, could shave meaningful time off the overall clock. His run settled into a consistent rhythm, though he slipped a few spots in his division by the finish, ending 18th among 60-69 Sprint Male competitors. Overall, a well-rounded performance with a swim that stands out as the highlight of the day.
