Strong Bike Leg Powers Steady Olympic-Distance Finish Jacob Regen completed the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 2:48:59, finishing 296th overall out of 1,987 and 21st in the competitive 19-24 age group. After a 23:02 swim, Jacob turned in the standout segment of his race on the bike, covering the course at an average of roughly 18.6 mph and climbing as high as 7th in his division at one point during the ride a clear strength to build around. The run proved tougher, with pacing drifting from just under 9:41/mile early on to over 10:20/mile by the final miles, suggesting some fatigue accumulated after the bike effort.
