A Strong Mid-Race Surge Highlights a Determined Finish Brooklyn Espinoza completed her second consecutive Spudman Sprint Triathlon, finishing in 2:06:27 out of 570 participants. She maintained a solid bike pace of roughly 15.5 mph across the 13.17-mile course, showing steady power through the middle miles. On the run, Brooklyn found her rhythm during the third mile split, climbing to 6th in her division and 25th among all women for that segment a clear sign of strong closing speed when she found her stride. Compared to her 2025 Spudman performance, where she finished in 1:50:29, this year's race came in slower overall. The transitions and swim split were both a bit longer than ideal, suggesting an opportunity to sharpen efficiency between disciplines. With her bike strength and a proven ability to surge on the run, tightening up those connector segments could unlock a faster overall time in future races.
