Bike Strength Fuels a Steady Sprint Finish Jared Blanchard finished his 2026 Spudman Sprint Triathlon in 2:06:46, placing 294th overall out of 570 and 148th among men. The swim leg had him in the middle of the pack, but the bike segment was clearly his strongest assetaveraging roughly 15.5 mph, he surged from 303rd overall after the swim to as high as 109th during the ride, a significant jump in position that highlights strong cycling fitness. Coming off the bike, Jared settled into 148th overall, later finishing the run and closing out the race in 294th. The run split suggests some fatigue after the bike effort, with pacing gradually easing over the final miles. Building run durability off the bike could help him hold onto more of the ground gained during the cycling leg in future races.
