Steady Gains Across the Board Highlight a Strong Return Lisa Larsen turned in a well-rounded performance, finishing in 2:28:30 a solid 7-minute-20-second improvement over her previous outing in 2023. Her bike leg stood out, covering the course at an average of just over 11 mph, a notable step up in cycling strength. She also moved up significantly in the overall standings, jumping from 311th to 393rd overall out of a larger field of 570 participants, and climbing from 29th to 40th in her 40-49 age division despite tougher competition this year. Her swim split of 23:33 was efficient, and her transitions were crisp, with T1 at 8:30 and T2 at just 5:21 both contributing to her overall time savings. The run leg, covering just over 3 miles in 49:30, rounded out a consistent effort. With her bike split showing clear growth, continued focus on run pacing could help her close the gap even further in future races.
