Date: July 25, 2026 Participant: Daniel Clark Day #4064 Race: 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon Event: Olympic Triathlon Weather: Hot, but otherwise a great day for a triathlon.

Powerful Bike Leg Anchors a Strong Overall Finish Daniel opened with a smooth swim, exiting the water in the top 20% of his field and setting up a bike leg that stood out as the highlight of his day. Averaging roughly 18.2 mph over the Olympic-distance course, he moved up significantly in the standings, climbing into the top 15% of his age group at several points on the bike and showing strong, consistent power output throughout. Coming off the bike, Daniel settled into a run that started fast sub-9:00 pace for the first mile but gradually eased as fatigue set in, with his final miles trending closer to 11:00 pace. This pattern suggests strong early-run fitness with an opportunity to work on sustaining that intensity late in the run. He crossed the line in 2:50:20, good for 319th overall out of 1,987 finishers and 36th in his competitive division, a solid result built on a swim-bike combination that gave him a real edge.
