Fast Start, Steady Finish: A Swim-Powered Sprint Performance Stuart Fry opened his race with a standout swim, moving through the water in 15:48 and climbing to 34th overall out of 570 finishers an impressive early move that placed him 2nd in his 40-49 age group at that point. He carried that momentum onto the bike, averaging roughly 16.5 mph over the course, a strong pace that kept him inside the top 40 overall through the bike leg. The run proved to be the toughest of the three disciplines relative to his other splits, with his overall position gradually settling to 111th by the finish. Fry's swim strength and consistent biking gave him a strong foundation; sharpening run pacing off the bike could be a good focus for future races to fully capitalize on that early lead.
