Steady Pacing and a Strong Bike Leg Power a Solid Finish Matt Cardon turned in a well-balanced performance, finishing 195th overall and 5th in the men's 50-59 division. His bike leg was a clear highlight covering the course at roughly 16 mph, he climbed as high as 59th in his gender group during the middle miles, showing strong, consistent power on two wheels. Coming off the bike, Matt maintained composure through T2 and settled into a steady run. A particularly strong push around the 14-mile mark saw him jump to 26th in his gender group for that segment, hinting at a solid finishing kick. While his overall run pace settled a bit afterward, the early surge shows real potential for negative-split running with continued speed work off the bike. Overall, a strong, well-rounded race with the bike as his standout discipline.
