Bike Surge Fuels a Well-Rounded Sprint Effort Bree Cardon turned in a solid performance at the 2026 Spudman Sprint Triathlon, finishing 230th overall and 110th among women in a field of 570. Her swim was a strength, placing her 91st among women exiting the water, and she carried that momentum into a bike leg that showed excellent progressive pacing accelerating from roughly 11.8 mph early on to nearly 17.9 mph by mile 12, a great sign of pacing discipline and building confidence on the course. The run leg held steady in the 11:4512:20 per mile range, a reasonable follow-up after a strong bike push. Consistent placement in the 100130 range across swim, bike, and run splits shows a well-balanced athlete. With such a strong bike finish, Bree could look at whether an even more even pacing strategy from the start might unlock similar gains earlier in the ride.
