Consistent Pacing Delivers a Stronger Overall Finish Alan Raymond completed the Olympic-distance course in 4:28:48, finishing 1436th overall and 1003rd among men. His swim carried him through the current in 32:23, setting up a bike leg that averaged roughly 13.0 mph over the 24.4-mile course. That bike split showed some real surgesclimbing as high as 334th place mid-ridethough a few sluggish stretches evened things out by the dismount. The run, covering 6.2 miles in 1:41:53, rounded out a well-balanced day across all three disciplines. Compared to his 2024 Spudman finish of 4:18:57, Alan's 2026 time was about 10 minutes slower, yet he still moved up in the overall standings from 1521st to 1436th, a sign of a deeper but slightly slower field. Tightening up bike pacing consistency could help him convert those strong surges into a faster overall split next time out.
