Consistent Splits and a Strong Closing Kick Drive a Top-25 Finish Michael completed the sprint triathlon in 1:32:24, placing 24th overall out of 570 finishers and 19th among men (6th in his 30-39 division). His 13:29 swim landed him in the top 10 exiting the water, and a crisp 2:37 T1 kept him among the day's quickest transitions. On the bike, he averaged nearly 17.4 mph over 12.45 miles, holding a top-10 position before a smooth 1:31 T2 sent him out onto the run course. Compared to his 2024 Spudman result, Michael's finish time slipped by about two minutes, yet his overall placement jumped significantlyfrom 37th to 24ththanks to sharper transitions and smarter pacing. After holding a steady 10:33 per mile rhythm through the middle run miles, he surged over the final 0.61 miles at a 9:00 pace, closing the race with a clear negative split.
