Bike Power Drives a Top-Five Age Group Finish Jaylan Jones turned in a standout bike leg at the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon, averaging roughly 20.8 mph over the course and vaulting from 700th place after T1 to 151st overall by the dismount line a gain of more than 550 positions. That surge set up a strong overall result: 185th out of 1,987 finishers, 159th among men, and 4th in the 40+ Clydesdale division. The swim and both transitions were efficient, with T2 completed in just 2:18. The run leg was steady, but the field closed some ground here, with Jaylan slipping from 151st to 185th overall by the finish. Still, placing in the top 10% of a nearly 2,000-athlete field, backed by a bike split that outpaced hundreds of competitors, marks a well-rounded, strong race performance.
