Strong Mid-Race Surge Fuels a Solid Olympic Finish Kendell Clement turned in a well-rounded Olympic-distance performance at Spudman, finishing 268th overall out of 1,987 athletes and 24th in the competitive 40-44 age group. After a steady swim, Kendell settled into the bike course, averaging roughly 18.4 mph over the 24.4-mile ride. The standout moment came during the fourth bike segment, where Kendell clocked a blistering 2:49/mile pacegood enough to briefly climb to 5th in the division and 77th overall, showing real strength on that stretch of road. Transitions were crisp, with T1 and T2 combined taking just over six minutes, helping maintain momentum into the run. The 10K leg was completed in 58:31, holding a consistent pace in the mid-9:00/mile range through the finish. Kendell closed strong, maintaining position within the top 15% of the field overalla testament to balanced pacing across all three disciplines.
