Strong Swim Start Fuels a Steady Olympic-Distance Finish Megan Nordquist opened her race with a standout swim, exiting the water in 22:39 and ranking 14th in her 40-44 division and 123rd among all women a clear strength to build on. She followed with a quick T1 transition before settling into a bike leg covering 24.39 miles at roughly 14.7 mph, holding a consistent effort that kept her inside the top 25 of her age group. The run proved the most demanding stretch of her day, with pacing gradually easing from an early 12:44/mile split near mile 26 to the 14:0014:20/mile range by mile 31. She closed strong, dropping to a 7:22 pace over the final tenth of a mile. Nordquist finished in 3:34:16, placing 27th in her division. Her swim performance stands out as the highlight of a well-rounded Olympic-distance effort, with the run offering the clearest area to target for future gains in overall time.
