Fast Start Fuels a Well-Rounded Olympic Finish Steven Knighton turned in a well-balanced performance at the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon, highlighted by a standout swim that ranked 2nd in his 45-49 age division and 60th among all men. That early strength set the tone for a race where he stayed competitive across every discipline, ultimately finishing 7th in his division and 95th overall out of nearly 2,000 participants. On the bike, Steven averaged close to 19.3 mph over the course, maintaining a steady rhythm that kept him inside the top 10 of his division through T2. His run showed consistent pacing, holding roughly 8:40 per mile for the bulk of the leg before closing strong with a final sprint to the finish.
