Steady Effort Marks Return to the Age-Group Ranks Bruce Holmstead completed the Spudman Sprint Triathlon in 2:05:10, finishing 144th out of 570 men and 12th in the newly entered 60-69 division. This marks his third consecutive Spudman appearance, and his first race in the 60-69 age group after competing in the 50-59 category in 2024 and 2025. Bruce's swim came in at 19:44, followed by a quick transition. His bike leg covered roughly 12.45 miles at an estimated 13.2 mph pace. The run showed strong range an early split (R3) placed him 1st in his division at that checkpoint, a real highlight of the day, before settling into a more moderate closing pace. Transitions were efficient, with T1 in 3:43 and T2 in 2:45, rounding out a well-managed race across all three disciplines.
