Swim Speed Sets the Tone for a Balanced Olympic Finish April Todd opened her 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon with a standout swim, clocking 21:06 for the 0.86-mile downstream leg and moving into 51st place among womenone of her strongest relative performances of the day. She carried that momentum into a steady bike leg, averaging roughly 16.3 mph over the 24-mile course, before settling into a run that held a consistent 10:4911:43 min/mile pace across the final 6.2 miles. Transitions were quick and efficient, with T1 at 3:16 and T2 under two minutes, helping her maintain overall positioning through the race. Todd finished in 3:02:50, placing 101st among women. With her swim split ranking well ahead of her overall finish position, there's an opportunity to build bike and run strength to match that early pace and close the gap between her swim ranking and final results.
