Strong Bike Power Fuels a Solid Olympic-Distance Finish Kyle Rasmussen turned in a well-rounded performance, highlighted by a standout bike leg. Covering the bike course in 1:20:00, he averaged roughly 18.3 mph, moving him up significantly in the field from 421st after T1 to 333rd by the end of the ride. His swim was efficient as well, finishing in 21:59 and holding a top-400 position exiting the water. The run proved more challenging pace-wise, with his mile splits gradually slowing from the 10:10 opening mile to the 12:36 range by mile 30. This late fade cost him some positions, dropping from 254th to 459th overall by the finish. With a bike leg this strong, incorporating more run-specific endurance work could help him carry that momentum through the final leg in future Olympic-distance races.
