Consistent Pacing Fuels Strong Age-Group Finish Rex Stice delivered a well-balanced effort at the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon, placing 6th in the Men's 70+ division. His bike leg stood out, averaging close to 14.8 mph overall, with several mid-ride segments surging past 16 mph. He followed that with a steady run, holding a tight 15:3016:30 per-mile pace from start to finish, showing strong endurance late in a long race day. Compared to his 2025 Spudman finish, Rex's overall time was about 12 minutes slower, though he also moved up into the more competitive 70+ age group this year and still notched a top-6 divisional finish. His transitions were efficient, and the evenness of his run splits highlights strong aerobic fitness a good foundation to build on for an even more even-paced effort next season.
