Blistering Swim Leads to a Slow Fade Late Michael Stevenson turned in one of the standout swims of the day, splitting 20:39 to exit the water 17th in his division and 222nd overallan excellent start that set him up well for the rest of the race. From there, the effort cooled. His bike leg averaged roughly 15.3 mph, and he lost ground steadily through the ride and run, finishing 52nd in his divisionsame as his overall placementshowing the swim advantage didn't carry through. His overall time of 3:10:10 was also a step back from his last two Spudman finishes: 2:44:04 in 2025 and 2:59:19 in 2023. With that swim speed already in hand, sharpening bike and run consistency could bring him back toward those faster results.
