Strong Bike Surge Powers a Solid Olympic Finish Alex opened with a steady 0.86-mile swim, exiting in the middle of the field before a brisk transition into the bike leg. The 24.4-mile ride was the clear highlight, averaging roughly 14.6 mph overall, with one standout stretch covering 5.6 miles at closer to 16.7 mph a segment that vaulted Alex from 821st to 337th overall in real time, showing real strength on faster terrain. A quick 3:22 T2 kept momentum going into the run, though the 6.2-mile leg proved to be the toughest stretch, with pacing settling into the 13-14 minute/mile range as the race wore on. Alex finished in 3:36:50, placing 1098th overall and 83rd in the 25-29 age group. With such a strong bike leg already in place, targeting more consistent run pacing off the bike could unlock an even faster overall time next time.
