Strong Swim Sets the Tone for a Steady Olympic Finish Andrew Jones turned in a standout swim at the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon, exiting the water in 21:06 and vaulting into 272nd place overall a top-15% swim split that put him well ahead of the field early on. He carried that momentum into the bike leg, covering the course at a strong 16.46 mph, a pace that reflects consistent power output through the ride. The run proved to be the most demanding portion of Jones's day, with his overall position gradually settling to 715th by the finish. Still, he crossed the line in 3:11:04, capping off a race defined by an excellent swim and a solidly paced bike leg. For his next race, focusing on run endurance and pacing consistency off the bike could help him convert his strong swim-bike combination into an even more competitive overall finish.
