Strong Mid-Ride Surge Fuels a Steady Finish Dane completed the Olympic-distance course in 3:44:28, anchored by a bike leg that averaged roughly 13.5 mph over its 24-plus miles. The standout moment came during the middle third of the ride, where he clicked off a 10.2-mile stretch at a blistering pace equivalent to over 15.6 mpha clear surge that moved him up sharply through the field before settling back into a more moderate rhythm for the remainder of the ride. Off the bike, a brisk 2:49 T2 got him onto the run quickly, where he held a steady pace in the 12:0012:20 min/mile range for the final six-plus miles. That consistency carried through to the finish, capping off a race defined by one explosive bike segment and a dependable, even-paced run to the line.
