Fast Start Fuels a Resilient Olympic Effort Ty opened his day with a strong 22:48 swim, moving into the top third of the field (517th overall) exiting the water. After a 6:23 T1, he surged onto the bike, climbing as high as 245th overall by the 4-mile mark. He averaged roughly 15.7 mph across the 24-mile bike leg, finishing in 1:33:28, though his split pace eased slightly in the back half of the ride as positions settled near the 650700 range. A brisk 4:04 T2 led into the run, where Ty again showed a strong opening mile at a 10:05 pace. That effort tapered through the middle miles, settling near 12:40 per mile before closing strong to complete the 10K in 1:14:41. He crossed the line in 3:21:22, placing 893rd overall, 700th among men, and 68th in the competitive 40-44 age group.
