Steady Swim Speed Fuels a Solid Olympic-Distance Finish Talmage Woodhouse turned in a strong swim leg, clocking 21:26 and moving into the top 15% of his age group exiting the water. He carried that momentum through a brisk transition before settling into the bike, covering the course at a solid pace of around 15.9 mph. The bike leg saw him lose some ground relative to competitors, dropping from a top-300 position after the swim to outside the top 600 by the close of the ride a good area to target for improvement heading into future races. Woodhouse closed with a steady 10K run, covering the distance in 1:04:30 for a consistent pace near 10:24 per mile, holding his position through the final miles. He finished in 3:02:12, placing 547th overall out of 1,987 finishers and 34th in the competitive 25-29 age group, capping off a well-rounded Olympic-distance performance.
