Bike Power Fuels a Balanced Olympic-Distance Finish Miranda Jones turned in a well-rounded effort at the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon, finishing 446th overall (73rd among women) and 9th in the 30-34 age group among 1,987 finishers. She opened with a solid swim, exiting the water in the top third of her division, then used the bike leg to make her biggest move, climbing from 61st to 6th in her age group while averaging roughly 16.8 mph on two wheels. The run settled into steady, low-10-minute miles to close out the day. With such a clear bike advantage already established, targeted run-specific work could help Miranda convert more of that early positioning into gains through the finish line. Overall, it was a well-executed race showing solid, balanced fitness across all three disciplines.
