Race Recap powered by Laurel Intelligence

Date: July 25, 2026 Participant: Jacob Bowers #6029 Race: 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon Event: Olympic Triathlon Weather: Hot, but otherwise a great day for a triathlon.

A Mid-Bike Surge Powers a Steady Olympic-Distance Finish Jacob opened his day with a 26:38 swim down the Snake River's current, then moved briskly through T1 in under three minutes. On the bike, he settled into a rhythm before finding real strength in the middle miles cranking out roughly 15.2 mph between miles 8.8 and 14.4, the fastest stretch of his ride before leveling off to an overall bike average near 12.3 mph across the 24.4-mile course. A quick T2 kept his momentum rolling into the run, where he held a steady effort across 6.2 miles to close out the day in 3:54:25. His splits show a runner who paced evenly through the back half without a significant fade. With that mid-bike surge already proving what he's capable of, applying a similar aggressive push during the run could be a great focus for future races.
